Started Dogs
Wildrose Kennels offers superior young retrievers for sale with different levels of training. Occasionally we select pups from our own breeding stock of fine English lineage and retain these pups for training as started dogs.
Unlike other training programs for trial purposes, these are not "wash out" started pups. Contrarily we select the best of the best. These puppies are of impeccable pedigree, properly socialized and trained by the proven Wildrose methodology.
All started gundogs or adventurers have been exposed to our unique super learner program and the super scent series, then back grounded in the home. These are not kennel-raised puppies. Each prospective pup is then trained to our specified standards to achieve the client’s desirables. They become excellent companions in the field, marsh and/or trail. A true Gentleman’s Gundog, trained in a positive way...a balanced way...The Wildrose Way.

Finished Dogs
Wildrose Kennels offers the discerning retriever enthusiast the opportunity to own a Gentleman's shooting dog of the finest quality. These dogs are fully trained in upland game and waterfowl to meet the needs of each client. These are custom-produced hunting companions of 100% imported British/Irish field-bred Labrador genetics. Each has had two seasons of hunting experience; most being exposed to over 1,000 birds.
Our finished labs are splendid companions given their calm temperament and obedient nature. Each retriever is custom trained by natural methods without electric collars or force fetch. These dogs are classic gamefinders. They are as comfortable at home with family as they are on the pheasant drive or in the duck blind.
Before taking your dog home, you will need to visit our training facility to receive individual instruction on handling the retriever prior to delivery. Our unique Handler's Course is unlike any offered in North America. This instruction creates the foundation of a partnership between the gundog and handler before delivery.
